GROUP CONCERT AT MUSIC CENTER
WHAT: A group performance of pieces from our summer list for the The Music Center’s open-house.
Music will come from list below.
REHEARSALS: Mon. August 24 at 6:30 in room 121 at the Cultural Arts Center.
WHO: Any student of Greensboro Strings who has prepared the pieces at group and individual lessons.
WHEN & WHERE: Saturday August 29.
Everything is in the lower level of the Cultural Arts Center, where we usually have lessons.
I haven't heard anything about any performance schedule changes so, as far as I know, here's the plan.
12:30 meet in Room 100 to tune and get set up.
1:00 to 1:20 Play half of the program in Black Box Theater, the last room on the right at the end of the atrium.
1:20 to 1:40 break while others perform
1:40 to 2:00 Play other half of the program in Black Box Theater
DRESS: Solid colored top, dark bottom. Somewhat dressy.
BRING: Violin, bow, shoulder pads.
Any music you haven't memorized.
Music stands will be available but, if you are reading music, bring yours just in case there are problems.
RESPOND: Tell me if you will play.
REPERTORY
PLEASE PUT YOUR MUSIC IN THE ORDER BELOW, IN A 3-RING BINDER THAT WILL LIE FLAT ON YOUR MUSIC STAND.
For pieces you don’t play or that you have memorized, put a sheet of paper with the title of the piece in your notebook at the proper place in the program order.
ABOUT THE DUETS:
ONLY PLAY DUETS THAT YOU HAVE POLISHED.
Those in Book 4 and up may prepare the duets listed for Books 1 & 2.
Those in Book 6 and up may prepare the duets listed for Book 3.
