SUMMER CONCERT AT MOSES CONE HOSPITAL
WHAT:
A group performance of pieces from our summer list for patients, guests and staff.
Specific pieces to be chosen at group, based on participants.
WHO:
Any student of Greensboro Strings who has prepared the pieces at group and individual lessons.
REHEARSALS:
Mon. July 20 at 6:00 in room 121 at the Cultural Arts Center.
WHEN:
Thursday July 23
Meet at 11:30 to organize and tune.
Perform at 12:00 noon.
WHERE:
The atrium in the main building of
Moses Cone Hospital
1200 N Elm St, Greensboro, NC 27401
DRESS:
Solid colored top, dark bottom. Somewhat dressy.
BRING:
Violin, bow, shoulder pads.
Any music you haven't memorized.
A music stand if you are reading music.
RESPOND:
Tell me if you will play.
DIRECTIONS:
COME EARLY ENOUGH TO FIND OUR SPACE AND GET SETUP.
--The entrance to the hospital campus is on N. Church St., north of Wendover Ave.
--Turn left into the hospital campus from N. Church St., passing the Urgent Care building on your left.
--A short drives takes you into a convenient parking deck.
--From there, a covered walkway leads past a fountain and into the main entrance – called “Entrance A.”
--Walk down a long hall.
--Go down open stair way on the right.
--The atrium is on the left. There is a Subway Sandwich shop and a Gift Shop at the atrium.

Look at the second map, the map of the first floor. Our entrance is at the top of the map. The stairs are in the golden section.The atrium is in the blue/gray section.

PLEASE PUT YOUR MUSIC IN THE ORDER BELOW, IN A 3-RING BINDER THAT WILL LIE FLAT ON YOUR MUSIC STAND.
For pieces you don’t play or that you have memorized, put a sheet of paper with the title of the piece in your notebook at the proper place in the program order.
ABOUT THE DUETS:
ONLY PLAY DUETS THAT YOU HAVE POLISHED.
Those in Book 4 and up may prepare the duets listed for Books 1 & 2.
Those in Book 6 and up may prepare the duets listed for Book 3.
